Dana White has announced that Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett will make his first UFC appearance of the year as he is set to fight Tony Ferguson at UFC 296 in Las Vegas this December.
The Liverpool-born fighter is yet to make an appearance in the Octagon this year and will have to wait until the end of 2023 to fight.
And he will face former interim UFC lightweight champion Tony Ferguson as the veteran has been struggling of late.
White announced the fight on Friday night on his Twitter account before the UFC confirmed the news.
Pimblett will be hoping for a more convincing win than last time out, where he beat Jared Gordon in a controversial decision victory.

The Englishman is coming into the fight off ankle surgery and will be hoping to put on a show for the Las Vegas crowd.
Ferguson, who is nicknamed ‘El Cucuy’, comes into the fight after six consecutive losses and will have to be on top form to end his poor run.
El Cucuy had won 12 in a row before that, with the 39-year-old winning six in a row before then.
It remains to be seen as to when Ferguson could retire, with many speculating that he could look to hang up his gloves after the fight in Las Vegas.
The pair take to the Octagon on December 16th as they both seek victory in America.
