A delivery driver has been threatened with a knife during a robbery in Kirklees.
It happened at around 8.30am in Hanging Heaton, Batley, on Monday (March 25). West Yorkshire Police (WYP) say the driver was approached by a suspect on Bromley Street. The man was carrying a knife.
The man took the parcel and made off in the direction of Commonside. He’s described as 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build and aged in his late 20s or early 30s.

A spokesperson for WYP said: “Police in Kirklees are appealing for witnesses after a robbery this morning (25/3) in which a delivery driver was threatened with a knife. The incident happened on Bromley Street, Hanging Heaton, near Batley, at around 8:30am.
“The driver was approached by the suspect, who was carrying the knife, and took the parcel from him before making off in the direction of Commonside.”
Police are now appealing for witnesses and anyone who can help should call 101 and quote reference number 13240161338.
