Donny Osmond, 66, Sparks Mixed Reactions after Fans See His Face Close-up in Video

Donny Osmond recently sparked commentary from social media users who saw a close-up view of his face in a video. Many are taken aback by how youthful the 66-year-old looks; some even believe he may have had some work done. In an interview the crooner did years ago, he spoke about how he manages to maintain his strikingly handsome features.

Recently, beloved entertainer Donny Osmond, 66, took to Instagram to share a video with his followers. In the video, Donny brings the camera right up to his face as he talks about his upcoming summer tour, set to kick off on June 7. Public reaction to seeing Donny’s face in the video was a mixture of delightful surprise and concern.

“Many people have asked me what do I actually do to prepare myself and get ready for a major summer tour. Well, let me show you,” the charming singer stated in his video. The footage then shows a clip of an adorable grandfather-grandson moment where Donny was seen operating a claw tractor with one of his grandkids, whom he nestled safely in his lap.

After that clip is done, Donny’s happy face pops back on the screen and he jokes, “I don’t know who was having more fun, me or my grandson, but that’s how I get ready for a major summer tour.”

Upon seeing Donny’s comedically endearing video, many found themselves fixated on the “Sweet and Innocent” artist’s youthful glow, with some in awe of how he manages to stay looking so young, especially as a grandpa.

“What!? You mean you’re not that kid’s dad!!!??? 🤣🤣🤣” exclaimed an Instagrammer. Similarly, another echoed the sentiment and expressed, “Donny Osmond a [grandpa]? Hahahaha I’m thinking you are forever young? Isn’t being [a grandpa] great fun? I love [grandmotherhood], don’t you? 🥰”

“Loved you forever. Still lookin good D,” complimented a fan. On the other hand, others felt that Donny has managed to stay looking so young with some help from cosmetic procedures.

“Stop the plastic surgery Donny. You’re starting to look like Wayne Newton,” criticized a social media user. Agreeing with this comment, another person replied, “Seriously. So sad.”

For those who think the Hollywood star may have had some work done to his face, Donny set the record straight on that matter in 2016. Reflecting on his life as he celebrated reaching an iconic milestone of 50 years in show business, Donny disclosed whether or not he has gotten any plastic surgery.

The “Too Young” musician, who had previously performed five nights a week in Las Vegas with his famous sister, Marie Osmond, for eight years, initially quipped, “So the surgery worked?” He then truthfully divulged, “I don’t do any pampering, no (cosmetic) treatments, nothing.”

However, he did also admit, “I did try Botox once. Never again. I couldn’t move my face muscles.” Donny credited his youthful appearance to having good genes and said, “I guess, I’d have to thank my mom for that.” He also added, “I work out a lot and I am careful what I eat.”

Besides a few facial lines and the odd gray hair or two, the Mormon who doesn’t drink alcohol pretty much has the same handsome face that garnered bountiful female attention in his teen idol days.

To this day, Donny Osmond still leaves his female fans swooning over him; however, he remains committed to his beloved wife, Debbie Osmond, whom he met when he was just 16. The lovebirds have been married for over 40 years and celebrated their anniversary in May.

Donny and Debbie celebrated their 46th anniversary by sharing a rare wedding photo on Instagram. In it, Debbie wears a white veil and dress as she cuts their four-tiered wedding cake, while Donny—dressed in a blue tuxedo—gazes at the sweet treat she sliced.

Reflecting on their unconventional honeymoon in Las Vegas in 1978, where they performed shows with his family, Donny wrote, “Certainly a honeymoon we’ll never forget.” He also hinted at a then-upcoming trip that the two planned on taking, suggesting a more private affair: “No one will know where we are.”

In his anniversary message, Donny also alluded to a song by Bill Withers and Grover Washington Jr., inviting his fans to guess the track. One fan enthusiastically replied, “Happy Anniversary, and that would be ‘Just The Two Of Us.'” Others shared warm greetings and expressed joy for the couple.

“I am sooooo happy for you both. You two are an inspiration [to] us all. Happy Anniversary,” another fan commented. On the other hand, the sight of Donny’s younger self brought back fond memories for other admirers.

When Donny and Debbie are not busy enjoying their time together as a happily married couple, the two delight in spending time with their grandchildren. On Memorial Day this year (May 27, 2024), Donny shared a beautiful family picture showing 10 out of the 14 grandchildren he and Debbie share, which had fans swooning.

The family gathered at his parents’ gravesite to honor them, and fans quickly noticed how much the grandkids look like Osmonds.

They left comments like, “Lots of [Donny] Osmonds in that pic!” and “Wow, some of your grandkids look just like your brothers when they were little. Those Osmond genes are strong!” Another fan praised, “Such a beautiful and large family!!! ❤️”
