Canadian musician Drake recently placed an $850,000 bet on the upcoming boxing match between Dillon Danis and Logan Paul.

This highly anticipated bout is scheduled for October 14 at the Manchester Arena in England. Logan, known as ‘Maverick,’ is considered the favorite due to Dillon Danis’s limited experience. The tension has intensified as Danis made the fight personal by involving Paul‘s fiancee, Nina Agdal.

Drake joined the anticipation and bet on Logan Paul to win by knockout, emphasizing the significance of personal vendettas in such matches.

“Never bet against personal vendetta and settling scores @stake @loganpaul,” Drake wrote.

This sparked reactions on social media, including a tweet from Danis, sharing a picture with Drake.

“850 on my head is disrespect,” Danis wrote.

The Drake curse

Drake is known for the “Drake curse,” where athletes or teams experience bad luck or a downturn in their fortunes after interacting with him or receiving his support. The question arises whether this curse will affect Logan Paul in the upcoming fight.

During the final press conference, Paul and Danis engaged in heated exchanges and attempted a face-off. However, the confrontation led to Logan Paul sustaining a cut on his face when he threw a bottle at Danis, who retaliated by striking him with a microphone.

Despite the incident, Paul confirmed that the fight was still on and even suggested that the stakes had become higher, emphasizing his determination to face Danis in the ring.
