A man has died and a woman has suffered serious head injuries at a property north of Brisbane on Thursday morning.
Detectives have launched a homicide investigation into the death, after they had conducted a welfare check at a property on Bramston Court in Burpengary.
“Upon arrival, police located the man and the woman, both aged in their 70s with serious head injuries,” police said.
The man was declared dead at the scene, police said, while the woman was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
A 26-year-old man from Boondall has been arrested, with the investigation ongoing.
