Eli Manning, the former New York Giants quarterback, expressed no concerns about Travis Kelce‘s rumored plans to attend Taylor Swift‘s concert in Argentina during the Kansas City Chiefs‘ bye week.
Manning emphasized that the bye week is an opportunity for players to rest and recharge, and if Kelce chooses to support Swift during this time, Manning sees no issue.
Manning supports Kelce
While there are criticisms regarding the Chiefs‘ post-Germany bye week being meant for recovery, as they face the Philadelphia Eagles next, Manning suggests that as long as Kelce performs well on the field, personal choices shouldn’t be a subject of criticism.
“I think the bye week is a great time to get away from football and I think that’s the idea,” Manning said according to People.
“It is the time to rest the body, rest the mind a little bit, recharge yourself to get ready for that second half of the season.
“I think for him to travel, there’s nothing wrong with traveling, going somewhere. Hey, if he wants to go and support his girlfriend and see her play a concert, I’ve got no problem with that.”
The reported romance between Kelce and Swift has drawn attention, making it a hot topic in the NFL. However, Manning emphasizes the importance of focusing on performance on the field rather than players’ personal lives.
