An expert has warned that wearing leggings on a plane could be dangerous. Christine Negroni, an aviation expert, said that in an emergency, leggings could cause problems.

She told The Sun: “You might have to escape through a cabin fire or there could be a separate fire on the ground once you leave the aircraft.” She added: “Everyone is wearing yoga pants on planes now, but I avoid all artificial fibres because they are more likely to burn and stick to you if there is a fire.”

Despite being comfy, your leggings could be harmful. Instead, she suggests wearing clothes made from natural fibres like cotton.

Christine, a frequent flyer, advises against removing your shoes during a flight. She explains that in case of an emergency exit, the temperatures could be extreme and being barefoot would not be ideal, reports the Mirror.

She suggests wearing trainers or other flat footwear instead of high heels, no matter how stylish they may appear.

She emphasised: “Pick trainers over high heels, pick natural fibres over synthetic, and take tight-fitting clothes over loose-fitting.”
