The jury trial of a former Las Vegas police officer accused of killing her one-time son-in-law commenced earlier this week.

Pamela Bordeaux, 60, is charged with murder with the use of a deadly weapon – but her defense is claiming her ex-son-in-law was a ‘dangerous character’, who was, among other things, addicted to strange sorts of pornography.

Bordeaux, a retired Las Vegas Metro PD detective, allegedly shot Sean Babbitt, 32, at least 10 times while he was in her house in April of 2019.

‘I shot him,’ Bordeaux told officers on footage from body cameras on the day of the fateful encounter. Babbitt was reportedly shot at least ten times – her initial bond was set at $1million, which she posted.

Babbitt, at the time of his death, had been spending time with his child – Bordeaux’s grandchild – during a court approved visit.

Sean Babbitt, 32, was shot 10 times by his former mother-in-law in April of 2019, while he was in her house on a court sanctioned visitation with his child

The former detective’s defense attorneys are arguing that Babbitt was a danger and filed a report days before the trial – which is expected to last about two weeks, began from forensic psychologist John Paul Garrison, according to 8 News Now.

Garrison wrote in the filing, ‘Mr. Babbitt’s impulsive behavior, addiction to extreme pornography, and inadequate therapy significantly contributed to his propensity for violence.

‘The perception of imminent danger felt by Ms. Bordeaux is consistent with the evidence of Mr. Babbitt’s escalating and volatile behavior.’

The psychologist reviewed records of Babbitt after his death, and referred to emails and text messages between the deceased and his ex-wife.

In some of them, Babbitt admits to sexually deviant behavior.

In some of the exchanges, according to Garrison, Babbitt said he found standard pornography to be ‘less satisfying,’ and ‘continued down the porn rabbit hole.’

He went on to detail watching pornography involving ‘animals having sex with humans.’

‘Yes, I watched videos of women having sex with dogs and horses,’ he wrote in a text exchange from October 2015.

In another exchange referenced in the report, Babbitt’s ex-wife asked him which animals he watches have sex.

‘Girls with dogs, girls with horses, and one that had a girl with a pig. Again, I can clarify anything that you need clarified,’ he responded.

Bordeaux’s trial is expected to last around two weeks – she previously posted her own $1million bail

Babbitt has signed away any parental rights to his child years earlier

He also made reference to ‘incest-roleplays,’ and possibly suffering from multiple personality disorder. He described one of his online personas as a guy named ‘Max.’

Furthermore, the deceased father said he had shot heroine, and went back-and-forth with his ex about a tattoo of her name.

The report also points to a notarized letter from 2015, in which Babbitt resigns all parental rights.

‘I am an unfit parent,’ he wrote.
