There’s not much there is to say about Giannis Antetokounmpo. He’s one of the best players in the NBA and is constantly evolving his game to what his team needs.
He’s generally a very likable person and avoids trouble both on and off the court, but on Wednesday night he was ejected for just the fourth time in his career. Fans were surprised, as was Antetokounmpo, by the ejection as it didn’t seem very worthy of one.

Regardless, Antetokounmpo had a short night and could rest for the Bucks’ back-to-back game on Thursday night against the Indiana Pacers. WithDamian Lillard taking the night off, Giannis went bonkers as a one-man offensive show.
Giannis finished with 54 points on a ridiculous 76% shooting from the field. It’s the second time Antetokounmpo has hit 54 points in a game, having done so earlier this year in February against the Los Angeles Clippers. He was only one point off his career high of 55, which came in January versus the Washington Wizards.
Despite the incredible scoring performance, the Bucks ended up losing to the Pacers. Milwaukee had a nine-point lead with five minutes left, but several missed shots by Giannis and teammates put the Bucks in a hole while Indiana kept scoring. Antetokounmpo also brought down 12 rebounds and handed out three assists, but he turned the ball over eight times, including late in the game with the Bucks down one.
The Bucks are now in fourth place in the Eastern Conference and should get Lillard back for their next game.
