Hairy Bikers Si King has shared some “fantastic news” with fans weeks on from Dave Myers’ death. The TV chef died last year just under two years after he revealed he’d been diagnosed with cancer in May 2022.

Si recently shared an emotional update as he announced his final project with his late co-star. He revealed that the duo’s latest book ‘Fast and Fresh’ has been released. At the time he told fans: “Hello everyone, it’s Si here. Fast and Fresh from The Hairy Dieters is available tomorrow. Thank you if you pre-ordered, it’s hugely appreciated.

“It was a book that Dave and I really loved working on, so yeah there’s 80 delicious and easy recipes, easy as I know we’re all pushed for time these days. I don’t know how that happens but we just aren’t we.

“It’s a lovely book and we had the greatest of joy working on it together. Dave was very proud of it, so here it is. Lots of love to you all.”

In the clip he said: “Listen, it’s just a massive thank you from me and all the Hairy Bikers team for all your support for Fast and Fresh.” He went on: “I’ve just had the news that we’re number one – but not just number one in Food and Drink, we’re number one in the bestsellers chart”

He added: “Thanks for your continued support – honestly it means such a great deal and particularly fitting at the moment… love to you all.”

Alongside the video, he wrote: “Such fantastic news!!! Don’t forget to get your copy!” It didn’t take long for fans to rush to the comment section and flooded Si with support.

@woodhouse.melanie wrote: “Bless you. You guys are the best. Come on Si, let’s get you back in the saddle when you’re ready, doing the recipes. You could have guest cooks, or guests chatting.. love you both.”
