Celebrity Big Brother fans have slammed ITV tonight over a ‘fix’ to put a key star into the final.

Tonight the series, which is approaching its final episode, screened a twist where Fern Britton was asked to nominate a housemate for eviction.

The X Factor stalwart Louis Walsh wad the first name out of her mouth, as many fans predicted, with his comments such as those about Jedward.

But viewers learned tonight that Big Brother actually had a surprise in store – that the person Fern nominated would, instead of being sent home, actually be sent through to the final.

Fans accused ITV of fixing the show in order to make better use of their expensive celebrity Louis.

@lucyessex said: “Such a fix. Everyone has voted to evict Louis. He gets booed so much. He’s so nasty to the other housemates and people outside. He’s rud, and he’s a bully. And yet CBB producers are doing what they can to keep him in. Couldn’t be more fixed for him. #CelebrityBigBrother”

@m90_djf said: “@itv desperately trying to fix it so that they get value for money for spending so much on Louis Walsh #cbbuk #CelebrityBigBrother”

@taemblush Tweeted: “Louis being saved is 100% fixed by itv so he can be in the final because what was the point in that fern task?? it doesn’t make any sense #CBBUK.”

@kaywitherington wrote: “Fern has been properly set up by big bro! What was the point of all that?#CBBUK.”

@TwellyWatcher said: “Big Brother really set Fern up #CBBUK #CBB @howrude_uk They were blatantly gonna evict someone until Fern picked Louis! Bet they s*** themselves! #CBBUK.”

@wrizzly asked: “If Fern had given that snake to any other housemate other than Louis would there be an immunity for the houseguest? #predictable #CBBUK.”

And @Jools added: Fern has been stitched up by the producers. By announcing the fix just before nominations started it gave everyone an excuse to vote for her #CBBUK.”
