Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce has hinted that this might be his last season in the NFL. During an appearance on The NFL Report with Steve Wyche and James Palmer, the six-time Pro Bowl standout mentioned his busy schedule off the field and suggested that his career “could be over pretty soon.”
“I think it is a lot, and I think the way we’ve justified it as a family is this [playing football] is going to be over pretty soon here” Kelce said.
“If it’s this year, which it very well could be, we want to make sure that we’re ready to go when football’s done.
“With all of these different opportunities and things, we need to figure out what we want to do in retirement.
“You need to just enjoy the last time you have left with the guys you have.

“When these opportunities [the Christmas album] come up, you realize that the closer you are to the end of your career the opportunities to do these fun and engaging things with fans and friends is gonna be less and less and you realize that and it makes you want to do them that much more because when you’re done it’s not gonna be there as much.”
Could end career in style
Kelce, along with his brother Travis, hosts the popular podcast New Heights and is actively involved in various off-the-field endeavors, including starring in commercials and releasing a successful Christmas album with fellow Eagles offensive linemen Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata.
If this season does turn out to be his final year in the NFL, Kelce would have the chance to exit on a high note, as the Eagles currently hold the best record (6-1) in the NFC and seem poised for a strong postseason run.
