Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, the IBF, WBA, WBC and WBO Super Welterweight champion, will face Jermell Charlo in his next boxing match.

He is a decorated opponent who also boasts a professional record of 35-1-1 with 19 knockouts and has not lost since 2018.

Canelo Alvarez already said he didn’t care which Charlo brother he would fight – Jermall is the other fighter – he was ready for anyone.

Among so many rumours about who would fight the Mexican in September, Jermell assured that he always knew he would be the opponent for September 30 in Las Vegas.

“I’m not on holiday. I’m training every day, I’ve been training. I’ve had this fight for a long time and it was just a matter of time before the world knew. All the people had the news wrong, it was Jermell Charlo from the start. The fight was always there, but outside Al Haymon‘s (promoter) office nobody knew what was going on in boxing,” he said

“If you see my size today, you can tell I’ve been preparing for this. I’m not the little Charlo anymore, now I’m the big Charlo,” said the Iron Man.

Canelo comes into this fight with a record of 59-2-2 and holds the WBC, WBA, WBO, WBO and IBF World Super Middleweight belts
