Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones seems to possess unwavering faith in quarterback Dak Prescott as the prominent player readies himself for his eighth consecutive season as the team’s central figure on the field.

Furthermore, Jones has expressed his optimism regarding Prescott‘s capability to lead the Dallas team back to the Super Bowl, a feat that has eluded them since the 1995 season.

The Cowboys have also been absent from the NFC championship game since that time.

Jones’ love for Prescott

“I know how hard it is to win [a Super Bowl],” Jones said in the “Football Morning in America” column by NFL reporter Peter King.

“You shouldn’t give up the ghost because you fall short in a highly competitive league. Just because we haven’t won it in so long doesn’t make what we’ve done meaningless.

“And I think this year we’re in better position to win it than we have been in years. We have the team, and we have the quarterback.”

Having taken the reins from Tony Romo in that particular season, Prescott, who was selected in the fourth round of the 2016 draft, has retained his position and shown no signs of regression.

Accumulating a total of 24,943 passing yards and 166 touchdown throws since assuming the role, Prescott‘s performance has been commendable.

During the previous season, across 12 games, he achieved a statistical record of 2,860 passing yards, 23 touchdowns and led the NFL with 15 interceptions.
