Jordi Alba has retired from international football, AS reported.
Alba made 93 appearances for Spain, scoring nine goals, and won the 2012 Euros with La Roja.
He last played for Spain as they beat Croatia in the Nations League final on penalties this past June.
Alba made his debut for Spain on October 11, 2011 against Scotland.
According to AS, he told La Roja coach Luis de la Fuente ‘several weeks ago’ of his decision.

Alba took part in the 2014, 2018 and 2022 World Cups for Spain, and also played in the 2016 and 2020 Euros.
The left-back’s international retirement will allow him focus more on Inter Miami, with whom he’s already won a trophy after the team’s Leagues Cup triumph vs. Nashville.
Playing alongside his old friends Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets, Alba helped Miami win the knockout tournament which features clubs from MLS and Mexico’s Liga MX.
The club also advanced to the US Open Cup final by beating FC Cincinnati on penalties in the semifinal.
However, the Herons will find it harder to win MLS Cup.
The club is 11 points out of the postseason with just 11 games to play due to its poor form before the arrivals of Messi, Busquets and Alba.
Alba made his MLS regular season debut last weekend for Miami as the Herons beat the New York Red Bulls 2-0.
