Josh Giddey has been in headlines in recent weeks amid claim he was in a relationship with a young woman named Liv Cook.
Reports state that Giddey was unaware of her age when the two are said to have had a one night stand.

Why Giddey broke up with Cook
According to the New York Post, the real reason why Giddey decided to break off ties with Cook is because he discovered she wasn’t the age she initially said she was.
As per the report, the Thunder guard believed she was 19 when they met a nightclub in 2021. Once Giddey found out that she was under 18 the following day, its said that he broke off the relationship.
The situation is even more complicated because of the location of the club, which is in Oklahoma City. The age of consent in Oklahoma is 16.
Nevertheless, Newport Beach, California police are now investigating the matter. Prior to that, the NBA also announced that it was investigating.
It all stems from a since-deleted post by an anonymous social media last month who said a girl seen with Giddey in videos and photos was a high school junior at the time. The account has since been deactivated.
Giddey turned 21 in October, and so far he and the Thunder have decline to comment.
