Lamar Jackson became the fastest quarterback in NFL history to record 5,000 rushing yards and did so much faster than any other player under center, including Philadelphia Eagles legend Michael Vick, who needed 104 games to reach the milestone.

Jackson, 26, reached 5K rushing yards during Sunday Night Football against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium. He needed 22 less games (82) than Vick to get there.

Vick, 43, is one of the most electrifying quarterbacks in NFL history, paving the way for QBs such as Jackson, Cam Newton and Russell Wilson.

Newton, 34, and Wilson, 34, are third and fourth on the list of fastest quarterbacks in league history to reach 5,000 rushing yards.

The former Carolina Panthers QB reached the milestone in 129 games, while Wilson, the current quarterback of the Denver Broncos, needed 175 appearances.

Ravens pull off win over Chargers

Sunday Night Football between Baltimore and Los Angeles was a defensive showdown that ended witha 20-10 victory for the Ravens.

Jackson finished the contest with 177 passing yards and a touchdown on 18-for-32 completions.

He rushed for 39 yards on eleven carries, though two of those were kneeling on the final plays, which removed a couple yards from his stats.

Jackson’s historic night occurred on the heels of Eagles QB Jalen Hurts becoming the first quarterback in NFL history to record 10+ rushing touchdowns in three consecutive seasons.
