A serious car crash has shut a major road in Bradford this evening.
The A641 Manchester Road has been shut in the southbound direction between Ripley Street and Parkside Road and looks set to remain closed for some time yet. According to the traffic management system, Inrix, a number of bus diversions are in place for the 645, 681, 686 and 687 services.

Inrix said: “A641 Manchester Road Southbound closed due to accident from Ripley Street to Parkside Road.
“Ongoing since earlier this evening. Sensors are now showing that the closure length has increased. Diversion – for bus services 645, 681, 686 and 687.”

It is not yet known if anyone has been injured in the accident. It is also not known how many vehicles were involved. West Yorkshire have been contacted for comment.
