There are long delays on the M18 this afternoon (Friday) due to a crash which shut the motorway near Doncaster.
South Yorkshire Police shut the M18 Southbound near Doncaster on Friday (Feb 2) afternoon following a crash. The carriageway was shut from J5 M180 (Doncaster North Services) to J4 A630 West Moor Link (West Moor).
There is reportedly around 25 minutes delays with long queues of traffic with congestion to J6. It is not clear when police will reopen the motorway following the crash.

Our travel partner, INRIX, reported: “Queueing traffic due to accident, now on the hard shoulder on M18 Southbound from J5 M180 (Doncaster North Services) to J4 A630 West Moor Link (West Moor). Congestion to J6 (Thorne). Travel time is around 25 minutes.
“Traffic was held for around five minutes, after which lane one (of two) was closed.”
