He has broken into Gareth Southgate‘s England side ahead of Euro 2024 thanks to an impressive campaign with 11 goals and 11 assists.
News of his Liverpool link comes less than a month after he admitted that Steven Gerrard was his idol growing up on Gary Neville‘s The Overlap, brought to you by Sky Bet.
Gordon was a Liverpool fan as a youngster but was released by the club aged 11 and joined Everton, where he became a first-teamer.
He made 78 appearances over six seasons for The Toffees and was a key player in his final 18 months there.
