Teenage darts sensation Luke Littler has revealed what he is planning to spend his prize money from the PDC World Darts Championship on.

Littler, 16, has enjoyed a fairytale ride during the tournament, with the newly-dubbed ‘Prince of the Palace’ continuing to shock the darting world to reach the semi-finals,.

After entering the World Championship as a 66-1 outsider, he is now the favourite to win the whole thing after thumping Brendan Dolan 5-1 in his quarter-final match on Monday.

And, speaking a few days ago, Littler – who has won £100,000 from his exploits at Alexandra Palace – explained how he would be spending the money.

‘I always treat myself to some Under Armour tracksuits,’ he told The Telegraph. ‘And just get myself a new coat and get myself some Fifa points for my Xbox. That’s pretty much it.’

The Warrington-born sensation – who turns 17 on January 21 –  similarly admitted he would ‘love to start driving’ so his father, Anthony, a taxi driver, no longer has to take him to all his tournaments.

Littler also revealed last week that he may treat his mates to a special trip away.

‘All my friends are watching at home, we’ve always said we need to go Blackpool or Alton Towers so I think they will be looking at me like “you’re paying, Luke” and I’ll be like, yeah, okay!’ he told talkSPORT.

Littler is set to face Rob Cross later on Tuesday in the first semi-final, with Luke Humphries taking on Scott Williams in the other clash.

Reaching the last-four earns players £100,000, and finalists will scoop a £200,000 prize as a consolation for missing out on the coveted Sid Waddell Trophy.

The winner of the world championship is in line for a staggering payday of £500,000, which has been the total prize money for the last four years.

Although Littler’s incredible talent was known ahead of the tournament, no-one expected the Warrington sensation, born in 2007, to rise to fame this quickly and become the story of this year’s PDC World Championship.

Littler – who revealed in August that he only practices for between 30 minutes to an hour a day – has so far swept aside Christian Kist, Andrew Gilding, Matt Campbell, Raymond Van Barneveld and Dolan, breaking records along the way.

His first round victory over Kist saw him become the youngest winner at the tournament, while he also posted the highest average for a debutant (106.12) and it was there where he really began to endear himself to the nation.

Littler’s celebrations saw him take a trip to the kebab shop to celebrate in what has become a tradition for Ally Pally’s boy wonder.

Along with praise from darting legend Phil Taylor, commentator and former star Wayne Mardle described him as ‘extraordinary’, adding Littler – who is averaging more than 100 across the tournament – ‘may be the most naturally talented player I’ve ever seen’.

And, speaking after his victory over Dolan, Littler couldn’t hide his delight.

‘I’m in the semi-final on debut – I’m glad to get there,’ he said. ‘I’ve earned it, my performances have been good.

‘I felt a little zap, I saw it (the wasp) fluttering around near the end. It’s my throwing arm. It didn’t bother me.

‘I’ve got a good chance now. Now I am dreaming, I’m two games away. So I’m definitely thinking about lifting the title.

‘I know I have got the ability to go all the way. I know I have a good chance, I have a good feeling in myself to go all the way. I didn’t like waking up at 8am this morning, I am glad I can play in the evening tomorrow.’
