Cars heading along the busy M62 have been held this afternoon near Huddersfield following a crash.

Initial reports said traffic was held on the major motorway route for vehicles heading westbound. It happened between Junction 23 for Huddersfield at around 3.30pm on Friday (June 14).

Traffic management system INRIX says: “Traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident on M62 Westbound at J23 A640 New Hey Road (Huddersfield).”
