A motorbike rider is fighting for his life after crashing into a kerb.

The biker was rushed to hospital with life-threatening head injuries. The crash happened in Crossley Lane, Mirfield, at 4.20am this morning (June 24). It involved a Talaria Sting R off-road e-motorcycle which was carrying two men.

The bike was travelling away from the junction of Sunny Bank Road when it crashed into the kerb causing the rider and pillion passenger to fall to the ground. The passenger suffered minor head injuries.

Anyone who may have seen the crash, or the bike prior to, or who may have video footage, is asked to contact West Yorkshire Police on 101 or online, quoting reference 199 of June 24.
