McKenna flourishing after Old Trafford grounding

Kieran McKenna coached under Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick at Old Trafford.

Last season he led Ipswich into the Championship and has transformed the club.

They are currently second in the league and beat Wolves 3-2 in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.

United academy graduate trains with new club

Jesse Lingard has been pictured training with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq for the first time since the free agent arrived in the Kingdom in a bid to secure a new contract.

The former Manchester United star played for Nottingham Forest last season but failed to make an impact in Steve Cooper’s side, registering just 17 league appearances during their 2022-23 campaign.

After opting not to extend his one-year contract over the summer, the 30-year-old has been without a club, but has been training with West Ham.

Former United star takes up rugby

A former Manchester United star has tried his hand at rugby after linking up with the France national side.

In a viral video, the former goalkeeper can be seen kicking a conversion with the help of France kicking coach Vlok Cilliers.

The World Cup winner impressed coaches as he fired his effort through the posts on the training pitch, before laughing with the staff shortly afterwards.

United drawn against Newcastle in Carabao Cup

Newcastle are going to have to do it the hard way if they want to be successful in the Carabao Cup this year after being drawn against Manchester United in the fourth round in a repeat of last year’s final.

Eddie Howe’s side knocked out treble winners Manchester City on Wednesday, beating Pep Guardiola’s outfit 1-0 at St James’ Park thanks to an Aleksander Isak goal as jubilant scenes went around the ground at full time.

They will be hoping to build on what has been so far a successful project under Howe, and go one step further than last season after they lost 2-0 at Wembley to Erik ten Hag’s side.
