Haute-Garonne gendarmes reported Lyam missing today.

Police said in a statement: “He would have run away from the home on April 7, 2024 around 3:20 p.m.

“The report was made to us yesterday on April 8, 2023 at 5:45 p.m.

“The child would be likely to have gotten into the car with someone (a relative of his mother, his grandmother or other).

“He left WITHOUT a cell phone and with a backpack and some belongings.”

Cops added that Lyam’s mother Marine Da Silva had been “deprived of her [parental] rights” and did not appear at a trial, nor did she respond to calls or summons from social services.

According to Marine’s son Kenzo Djitli, she would be staying with her own mother in Spain, police said.

The statement continued: “She also allegedly told Kenzo to come pick them up without giving dates.

“Kenzo reportedly told a young girl from his home that he saw his brother on Sunday in a vehicle with his grandmother in the town of CAZERES (unconfirmed information).

“Young Lyam would therefore be likely to go to SPAIN with his mother or another relative. Dangerous individual, actively sought by the police for attempted homicide.”

Lyam is 150cm tall, or “normal build”, and has curly black hair.

The 12-year-old is originally from Saint-Lizier, in Ariège and is thought to have run away from an establishment he was placed in in Lavelanet-de-Commingues (Haute-Garonne), local media reports.

It is understood he was placed in the establishment, which takes care of minors “in difficulty”, on March 4 and escaped on April 7.

Information collected by police suggest Lyam is likely to be on his way to Spain, with his mother or another family member.
