Matthew Perry’s death sent shockwaves throughout the industry and the investigation into how the “Friends” actor obtained the ketamine found in his system is just further proof that his passing is still on everyone’s minds. Perry’s surviving friends and family members are proof that his memory lives on.

Courteney Cox, Perry’s on-screen wife on “Friends,” was asked about her co-star on “CBS Sunday Morning” in May 2024. Cox explained that she still constantly feels Perry around her, sharing, “He visits me a lot, if we believe in that.” She continued, “I talk to my mom, my dad, Matthew. I feel like there are a lot of people that guide us. I sense Matthew’s around for sure.”

Perry’s stepfather, Keith Morrison, also spoke on the “Making Space with Hoda Kobt” podcast in March 2024 about losing the “Fools Rush In” star. He shared, “It’s as other people have told me hundreds of times. It doesn’t go away yet. It’s with you every day. It’s with you all the time. And there’s some new aspect of it that assaults your brain, and it’s not easy.” With Perry’s death back in the headlines, it can’t be easy for friends and family to cope, but hopefully the outcome will help everyone heal.
