The Met Office has predicted more ‘thundery showers’ later this week, following stormy weather over the Bank Holiday weekend and yesterday.

On Wednesday, across the county, the Met Office has predicted “showers will readily develop through the morning, becoming heavy in places with a chance of thunder by afternoon”. Additionally, the weather will be “changeable with a mix of sunshine and heavy showers on Thursday, prolonged and thundery at times”.

With that in mind, here are the Met Office weather forecasts for key areas in Yorkshire during the week. In Bradford, there will be cloudy skies in Wednesday, light rain on Thursday, sunny intervals in Friday, cloudy skies on Saturday and sunny skies on Sunday.

In Huddersfield, there will be cloudy skies on Wednesday, light showers on Thursday, cloudy skies on Friday, sunny intervals on Saturday and again on Sunday. In Leeds, there will be cloudy skies on Wednesday, light showers on Thursday, cloudy skies on Friday, sunny intervals on Saturday and again on Sunday.

In Sheffield, there will be sunny intervals on Wednesday, light showers on Thursday, sunny intervals on Friday, cloudy skies on Saturday and sunny intervals on Sunday. In York, there will be cloudy skies on Wednesday, sunny intervals on Thursday, sunny intervals on Friday, sunny intervals on Friday, once again on Saturday and then sunny skies on Sunday.
