Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons believes that quarterback Dak Prescott should be considered as an MVP contender.
Parsons, speaking on his podcast, cited Prescott‘s numbers, efficiency, and elite-level play as reasons he deserves consideration for the MVP.
He emphasized that people should open their eyes to Prescott‘s performance and predicted that Prescott would prove critics wrong by leading the team to big wins and the playoffs.
“He is playing at an elite level, and we should open our eyes,” Parsons said.
“Open your eyes, people; Dak Prescott should be in the MVP conversation. And I think he will prove that, leading out to the end of this year and winning some big games and leading us to the playoffs.”
Standing out this season
Prescott’s current season stats include a 70.2 percent completion rate, 2,011 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, and five interceptions.
Parsons himself has been having a strong season, leading the league in ESPN’s Edge Pass Rush Win Rate Rankings with 31 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and a forced fumble. The Cowboys, with a 5-3 record, are set to face the 2-7 Giants in their upcoming game.
