Mike Tyson has sent a chilling message to Jake Paul as the boxer continues his gruelling preparations for his first fight in nearly four years.

The former heavyweight champion is coming out of retirement for a high-stakes bout against YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul, with both fighters set to earn a huge payday from the exhibition fight at AT&T Stadium in Las Vegas on July 20.

It has been reported ‘Iron Mike’ will earn a cool 20 million dollars for the fight, and has been training hard to get himself in the best shape possible.

Boxing fans worldwide have been divided in their reaction, with some questioning why Tyson has been pitted against Paul, who is 30 years his junior.

But Tyson is never one to shy away from a fight, and the American has sent an intimidating message to Paul after posting a training video, showing him being put through his paces as he hit the pads.

The former undisputed heavyweight champion wrote on his Snapchat calling out the ‘Problem Child’, captioning the video: “Jake Paul, where you at?”

Concerns raised over Mike Tyson

Tyson hasn’t fought competitively since returning to the ring in November 2020 for an exhibition with fellow boxing icon Roy Jones Jr, which ended as a draw.

That has led people to raise concerns over whether he should be stepping back into the ring three and a half years later at the age of 57, especially after images surfaced on Tyson walking with a stick and even in a wheelchair due to his sciatica condition.

However, Tyson‘s head coach Rafel Cordeiro has played down any potential issues with the boxer. During an appearance on The MMA Hour, he said: “I believe we don’t have to be concerned about it.

“We’re talking about a two-time world champion. The guy didn’t have 20 fights in two years, he knows how to fight. He’s fought against the best guys in the world. When he steps inside the ring he knows what to do.

“It’s not something new for Mike, and this fight is no different. He works hard every single day to go in there and try to knock Jake out from the beginning to the end. This is his style, nobody has taught Mike Tyson how to fight. He’s going to prove that in July.”
