The Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight has been postponed due to Mike Tyson’s ulcer that had a flareup during a flight a couple of days ago, although the former champion said he’d be ready to fight, it seems his condition worsened and the July 20th fight will not happen as planned.

Netflix released a statement via X that read “Unfortunately Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will not face-off on July 20 as planned. Tyson’s recent ulcer flare-up has limited his ability to train fully for the next few weeks. The fight will be rescheduled for a date later this year after Mike’s able to resume training with no limitations and both fighters can have equal time to prepare for this once-in-a-lifetime matchup!”

Last weekend, Mike Tyson had a health scare during a flight that was crossing the country. According to reports, Tyson experienced nausea and dizziness because an ulcer flare-up was bothering him. It all happened just 30 minutes before his plane landed in Los Angeles from Miami.
After he was treated by medical personnel who were waiting for him on the TARMAC, he released a message via X that he was ready to fight Paul, however, it seems that his condition worsened during the following days.
The condition of his ulcer is not known, however, a standard ulcer is considered an open wound in the stomach and there could be a couple of solutions for it depending on the severity, including surgery which is the most effective to treat the condition.
If the former champion does need surgery, he will need some time to recover and hold off on receiving punches on the stomach for a while.
