The style of Deion Sanders’ coaching seems to be a perfect fit for college football because he can have control of virtually every aspect of the game. He already accomplished great things at Jackson State and he is currently 3-0 with a perfect start at Colorado Buffaloes Football. All of this, he has done while coaching two of his sons and agreed to move to Boulder but only if he could bring all his staff with him. In terms of marketing, there seems to be nobody better than Coach Prime to make the entire world pay attention to NCAA football but this immediately begs the question: Can he get the same results in the NFL or does his magic only work with the younger football players? NFL executives had their say.
According to a survey conducted by the folks at the New York Post, they spoke with both executives and GMs in the NFL. All of them remained anonymous but they sure wanted to talk about this Deion Sanders phenomenon. One executive said: “I’d definitely want to bring him in to hear what he has to say. He’s a smart guy and a good coach who has had a lot of early success. You’d want to pick his brain to see if it could translate. He knows how to motivate his players. He’s crushed the transfer portal, and maybe that would carry over into team building through free agency.” An unnamed GM is also willing to bet money that Deion Sanders is getting offers from several NFL teams by the end of this season.
How does Deion Sanders feel about coaching in the NFL?
Here lies the problem with Deion Sanders and NFL stars, he has already stated in the past that he would definitely get into physical confrontations with NFL players because they are vastly different from college players. In this previous statement, Sanders didn’t hesitate to say he wouldn’t coach an NFL team. However, son Shedeur Sanders wasn’t considered Heisman material when he made those statements. Byt the time a potential offer comes, the NFL teams that makes him a pitch that includes one or both of his sons will definitely have the advantage. It is definitely possible that Deion Sanders has changed his mind with both of his children in his mind.
