Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic kissed Dallas Mavericks‘ Luka Doncic on the cheek after beating his team in Friday’s NBA In-Season Tournament opener to snap their undefeated streak at 4-0.
Jokic, 28, is from Serbia, where men kissing on the cheek is customary, especially among loved ones and close friends. He and Doncic — a Slovenia native — have built a great relationship over the years and often greet each other with a kiss.

Doncic, 24, scored a game-high 34 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and was two assists shy of a triple-double, while Jokic was one dime away from a triple-double with one less point than Luka and four more boards.
Jokic and the Nuggets now have a 5-1 record to start the 2023 NBA season. Mavericks, meanwhile, move to 4-1.
Doncic and Jokic also exchanged a few words after the hard-fought battle, perhaps planning to speak a bit more before the Mavericks leave Ball Arena.

Jokic shot 14-for-16 from the field for his 33 points, while Doncic needed 24 shots (11 made) to score one more point than the Serbian.
Both stars received some help from the supporting cast members, including Kyrie Irving, who scored 22 points for Dallas.
Grant Williams and Josh Green each scored 13 points as the only two other Mavericks players with double figures in scoring.
For the Nuggets, Michael Porter Jr. scored 24 points, while Aaron Gordon and Jamal Murray put up 18 points apiece.
