We barely have time to breathe, but the Rabbitohs are over again for their second try of the night.

This time it’s Keaon Koloamatangi from the pass back inside from Damien Cook.

Koloamatangi shrugs off Blaize Talagi, Junior Paulo and J’maine Hopgood and burrows over the line.

The kick is good from Latrell Mitchell, and the Bunnies get a comfortable buffer.

Rabbitohs 12, Eels 0 after 12 minutes

Somehow, out of all the errors and commotion, we have a try.

It’s Jai Arrow for the Rabbitohs, who bursts through the Eels goal-line defence to get the first points of the night.

Rabbitohs 6, Eels 0 after eight minutes

If I’m being honest, these opening minutes don’t give me a lot of confidence in what the quality of the rest of the night will be like.

Here’s a quick rundown of what the last minute has looked like:

  • Maika Sivo drops the high ball, Rabbitohs get the ball
  • Jacob Gagai gets dragged over the touch line on tackle one, Eels get the ball
  • Morgan Harper drops the ball trying to offload, Rabbitohs get the ball

Rabbitohs 0, Eels 0 after eight minutes

We have our first error of the night and it comes from Daejern Asi who tries to keep the ball alive but flicks it out the back to no one.

Rabbitohs pounce on the ball and get their first real chance in attack, but Latrell Mitchell coughs up the ball.

That’s one error each and we’re not even five minutes into the contest.

Rabbitohs 0, Eels 0 after four minutes

We’re under way at Accor Stadium.

Rabbitohs have a clean first set, and now it’s time for the Eels to get into the contest.

We’re about five minutes away from kick-off at Accor Stadium, but in other rugby league news, the Panthers have absolutely obliterated the Sharks.

It’s Panthers 42, Sharks 0 at full-time…yep, you read that right. Cronulla, the competition leaders and form team of the year failed to get a point on the board tonight.

In other Cronulla news, Nicho Hynes left the field at half-time with a calf injury.

Here’s the view from Christian Nicolussi at full-time.

Cody Walker is out with a calf injury, which means Dion Teaupa will pair Jack Wighton in the halves.

Here’s how the team looks:

1. Latrell Mitchell, 2. Alex Johnston, 3. Taane Milne, 4. Michael Chee Kam, 5. Jacob Gagai, 6. Jack Wighton, 18. Dion Teaupa, 8. Davvy Moale, 9. Damien Cook, 10. Sean Keppie, 11. Jacob Host, 12. Another blow for the Eels with Will Penisini ruled out sick, which means Morhgan Harper comes into the team.
