Almost every golf fan who spends any time on the internet is aware of the work that Paige Spiranac does.
She is an incredibly prominent golf influencer, known mainly for posting racy pictures of herself in very little clothing whilst on the golf course.
Showing off her features is not the only part of her content as she does make genuinely informative videos about the sport, which she is in a position to do because of her past as a golf player.
Spiranac’s move away from golf
She has posted a series of stories on Instagram that explain her golfing beginnings at the San Diego State University (SDSU).
“Let’s run it back to 2015. As a collegiate golfer at SDSU, I started sharing golf videos and pictures. I wear unusual golf clothes because I always feel comfortable and try to show a different side of the game. I grew up playing on Munis where the dress code was not that strict,” she captioned the image.
She continued to discuss the various things about the sport and the clothing that were always in her head, and which led to her moving away from a potential professional career in golf and towards a different sort of career.
“Everything changed in July 2015. An article written on me went viral. I went from having 500 followers to almost 100k overnight,” the social media star wrote, adding, “There is no such thing as an “IG golf girl” at this point and no blueprint for what to do.

“There are only two ways at this point. You play professional golf or go on the air. I always felt like people were trying to put me in a box. But I want digital content and play.
“I received a lot of s**t (I still do lol) but it was worth it to see how golf is progressing and evolving.”
