One of those who was left in awe of Messi’s strike was Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who tweeted shortly after the goal went in with a simple yet clear message.

He is also added a “goat” emoji, signifying who he thinks the greatest player of all time is.
Football is certainly not as prominent in the US as it is in Europe and South America, but that’s exactly why Messi was brought in.
