With Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, forming a friendship with none other than Taylor Swift, who happens to be in a relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, there’s an added incentive for Mahomes to perform well.
Edelman emphasizes the importance of Swift’s presence at the games, stating: “We need her at the games because the production goes down from the offense of the team when she’s not around… And Patrick Mahomes has to perform because his wife’s friends with Taylor now. He wants that relationship to keep going.” Edelman also mentions the camaraderie between Mahomes and Swift, highlighting their handshakes, baby toss rounds, and hip checks.
