Earlier this year former NFL player Arian Foster caused a lot of controversy by claiming that the NFL is rigged and that players are given the script for what will happen in the preseason.
Although there were many comments on the matter, nothing could be proven and to show that Foster’s comment did not affect anything, the league decided to make a commercial promoting the start of the season with a comical video that alludes to Foster’s words.

Patrick Mahomes was treated as an “actor” in the promo.
In the NFL video, several players and league personnel are seen deciding what plays will be run, in which game and quarter and how it will be.
One of them asks Mahomes to be “erased” from the season, the Chiefs quarterback reacts and someone replies that he should do what he is asked to do, since he is an actor.
