Patrick Mahomes is enjoying the NFL offseason by joking about Travis Kelce’s age, as the man dating Taylor Swift turns 35 in October, making him one of the oldest heads on the Kansas City Chiefs’ roster.
Mahomes and Kelce have been teammates since 2017 and just celebrated winning their third Super Bowl together. They won the first in 2019 against the San Francisco 49ers. In 2023 they took the title against the Philadelphia Eagles, and this year they were crowned champions by beating the San Francisco 49ers in overtime.

But at the age of 34, Kelce is beginning to head into the twilight phase of his football career as a tight end, meaning the dynamic partnership between the pair is coming to a close sometime soon. Mahomes seems to be coping with this reality via humor.
The 28-year-old quarterback made the jibe as he reacted to the signing of Marquise “Hollywood” Brown as Andy Reid seeks to address the desperate receiver quality problem the Chiefs endured throughout 2023, despite victory in Super Bowl LVIII.
“I’ve been impressed with how hungry [Brown] is,” Mahomes said to Us Weekly. “You can tell he wants to win,” he said. “Obviously he wants to do good and everybody wants to do good.
“But you can tell he wants to be part of something special, part of greatness. We’re trying to build that here and we think we’ve started it and we want to continue it. We still have a young team, other than Trav [Kelce].”
The quarterback then smiled and added, “If we can continue to build this with a lot of people who are hungry and want to win, we can keep this thing going.”

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift and Kelce were recently photographed enjoying a tropical getaway, soaking up the sun and the serene atmosphere of their undisclosed tropical location.
The pair have snuck off to the Bahamas to enjoy the warm weather off the coast of Florida, in the Atlantic Ocean, and the couple looked relaxed and happy as they strolled hand-in-hand along a picturesque pier, as revealed in images shared by Instagram celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi.
Swift is certainly a fan of the islands as she went there with her ex-boyfriend of six years, Joe Alwyn, in 2022. The couple broke up in early 2023 and now Swift appears to have completely detached from her old relationship as she takes her new man to the nation with a population of just 412,000 people.
