A West Yorkshire Police officer accused of having an inappropriate relationship with ‘criminal connections’ has been charged.
PC Caitlin Howarth, 24, has been suspended from duty and has been charged with misconduct in a public office, West Yorkshire Police have said.
Miss Howarth, who is a student officer, is set to appear at York Magistrates Court. She works in Bradford District and will appear before the court on March 7.

The police say the charges relates to a relationship with a “notifiable association with criminal connections”. PC Howarth has also been suspended from duty.
In a statement, the police said: “A West Yorkshire Police student officer has been charged with misconduct in a public office.
“PC Caitlin Howarth, 24, who works in Bradford District, is due to appear at York Magistrates Court on March 7.
“The charge relates to a relationship with a notifiable association with criminal connections. She is currently suspended from duty.”
