Police are searching for a person they want to speak to after a vulnerable man suffered head injuries in an attack in Halifax.
It is said the man was assaulted at around 11.35am on Thursday, April 18 as he was on Dispensary Walk in Halifax Town Centre. A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said the man was walking from Church Street when he was approached by an unknown male and assaulted.
The spokesperson said a number of enquiries have been made and officers are now appealing to members of the public to help identify a man captured on CCTV.
They said: “Police in Calderdale have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak with following an assault which left an elderly male with significant head injuries last month. The incident occurred at 11.35am on Thursday 18 April on Dispensary Walk in Halifax Town Centre.
T”he elderly male was walking down Dispensary Walk from Church Street when he was approached by an unknown male. A number of enquiries have been made into the incident and officers are now appealing to the public to assist with identifying the man pictured in the CCTV images below as he may have information that could assist with ongoing enquiries.”
