The loss was exacerbated by a contentious moment late in the game, where a potential pass interference call went unnoticed by officials.

Lamar Jackson‘s pass intended for Isaiah Likely was intercepted by Chiefs‘ Deon Bush, following apparent interference by Chamarri Conner. Video replays clearly depicted Conner making contact with Likely before the ball arrived, sparking outrage among fans.
“By the book, that was pass interference on the end zone interception,” a fan wrote.
“It didn’t look that way in real time but upon further review, ref easily could’ve thrown that flag and changed this game.”
Another added: “I don’t care for either team but these refs are wearing red today, good grief.”
A furious Jackson
Jackson‘s frustration was evident as he slammed his helmet in anger upon returning to the Ravens‘ sideline. The controversial play added to the disappointment for Baltimore, with Jackson’s risky throw into triple coverage already intensifying the situation.
“I saw both of them trailing [Likely], and I didn’t want to throw it out the end zone,” Jackson said.
“I just tried to let him turn around and make a play. I thought it was going to be a PI, but it is what it is. That safety made a great play. He made the interception.”
Despite the setback, the Chiefs secured their fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years, aiming to achieve consecutive championship titles-a feat not accomplished since the Patriots in the early 2000s.
