Ryan Garcia has recently provided insight into his supposed feud with Jake Paul, revealing that their beef isn’t quite what it seems. On the latest 16 episode of “BS w/ Jake Paul,” Garcia opened the show with a freestyle rap before launching into some trash talk aimed at Paul’s co-host, Jasper.

The episode featured a surprise cameo from UFC champion Sean O’Malley, who joined the conversation via FaceTime after Garcia sent him a selfie earlier in the podcast.

Throughout the episode, Paul was visibly amused by Garcia, frequently breaking into laughter. This friendly interaction raised questions about their recent publicized feud.

A fake feud

At one point, the topic of a potential fight between Garcia and Paul came up, with both expressing interest. Garcia stated he would only consider the fight if the financial reward was substantial, hinting at the possibility of a Netflix-sponsored match, akin to Paul’s upcoming fight with Mike Tyson on July 20.

“Uh, we pretend beef,” Garcia said.

Paul responded: “Yeah, we text each other like, ‘Let’s stir some s**t up.’

“Nah, I deadass did,” Garcia added. “I mean, sometimes we would actually [argue] like brothers.”

Their so-called “fake beef” dates back three years to a video where they faced off, which appeared anything but staged. Garcia has repeatedly taunted Paul, claiming he “isn’t a professional fighter.”

Earlier in 2024, Garcia called out Paul for a fight, accusing the social media star of “disrespecting his sport.” Paul responded by rejecting Garcia’s challenge, asserting he’s a “better boxer” than the former interim WBC champion.
