There are certain celebrities that you never want to hear say a bad word about you, and for many Samuel L. Jackson will be one of them.

Unfortunately for Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay, he has gotten on the wrong side of the legendary actor who is known for a number of different roles.

The Rams were easily beaten by the Green Bay Packers at the weekend by a 20-3 scoreline, meaning there has been a lot of soul-searching going on.

The Rams now have a 3-5 record and the Packers themselves have not been at their best, so the situation is looking pretty bleak in Los Angeles.

A tweet from Jackson has sparked even further debate as to whether McVay is the man that the Rams should be trusting to guide them to victories during the rest of the season.

Jackson tweeted: “At what point do we start the Rams coaching conversation??!!”

McVay reacts to defeat

It can’t be nice for McVay to know that he has a prominent fan like Jackson on his back this early in the season.

He admitted that he could not really find any positives to take from the performance against the Packers at all.

“Offensively, it’s hard to really say there was anything you could take away as a positive from today. That’s where the real humbling part comes in,” McVay said.

He did praise the defence though: “I was proud of the way our defense played today. They kept us in the game, the continued to battle, then it kinda got away a little bit at the end. Didn’t do nearly a good enough job offensively. You have those turnovers, we don’t do a good job of capitalizing when our defense gets the turnovers, and we weren’t really able to get anything going mometum wise.

“It was a good humbling day. Sometimes you have days like that, but give us a chance to be able to take a step back, do a better job and figure out how we can be proud of the way that we compete, the way that we play…I want to do a better job coaching the last eight games that were guaranteed.”
