A man was treated for head injuries after an assault in Sheffield city centre.

South Yorkshire Police were called to Arundel Gate at 2.47pm on Friday (April 26). The force cordoned off various areas around Arundel Gate, following the report.

Paramedics from Yorkshire Ambulance Service also attended and treated the man, 39, for his injuries which were not deemed life threatening or life alterting. It is believed his injuries relate to a reported assault on the previous day (Thursday, April 25).

A force spokesperson said: “We were called on Friday (April 26) at 2.47pm to Arundel Gate in Sheffield to reports of a man with head injuries.

“Yorkshire Ambulance Service attended and a 39-year-old man was treated for head injuries which are not believed to be life threatening or life altering.

“It is believed the man’s injuries relate to a reported assault from the previous day (Thursday, April 25).”
