Sheffield murder detectives have named and picture the victim of a serious assault in Darnall. Hamza Mohammed, 23, died two days after the attack in Darnall on Saturday (June 8).
South Yorkshire Police were called to Stainforth Road at 4.36pm in the afternoon. They were called by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service following reports of an assault.
Once there, the 23-year-old victim was found with a serious head injury and he was rushed to hospital. Tragically, on Monday evening, he died and his family are now being supported by officers.

The police have also begun a murder investigation and a 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident. This man has been released on bail pending a further investigation.
A 25-year-old man has also bee arrested earlier today on suspicion of assisting an offender and he remains in police custody.#
Detective Chief Inspector Thomas Woodward, said: “Sadly, the life of a young man has been lost.
