Mohamed Salah has been filmed smiling alongside Liverpool team-mates in training – despite clouds still billowing from his weekend spat with Jurgen Klopp.

The forward had an ugly touchline quarrel with Klopp when they drew 2-2 with West Ham on Saturday.

Klopp dropped Salah for the pivotal visit to London and the Egyptian striker was fuming at the decision, even when he was brought on in the 79th minute.

From this brief clip of training today, it looks as if the Egyptian is in good spirits.

When Klopp was subbing him on, Salah responded by waving his arms about pointing to the pitch and then pointing at a retreating Klopp.

The striker continued to berate the departing Liverpool manager and only stopped his show of discontent when striker Darwin Nunez intervened.

It was bad PR for the final weeks of Klopp’s tenure at Liverpool and left fans confused about the breakdown in relations with Salah, even if only brief.

Salah issued an alarming warning to reporters after the game: ‘If I speak, there will be fire!’

Klopp, meanwhile, was tight-lipped. Asked if he would share what was said on TNT Sports, Klopp replied: ‘No. But we spoke already in the dressing room and for me that’s done.’

With Liverpool preparing for a match against Tottenham on Sunday, the Reds need to put any issues behind them and it would appear, at least from this brief clip, that they have.

While Salah’s has scored 24 goals in a good season overall, his form has faltered since his injury at the Africa Cup of Nations.

He has only scored twice in his last eight Premier League games.

There has been speculation over Salah’s future but the club are reportedly confident that he will stay as he enters the final year of his deal.

‘If I speak, there will be fire,’ Salah told reporters after the game in a worrying response

Jurgen Klopp was unwilling to give details about the argument when interviewed by TNT Sports

According to The Athletic, Liverpool bosses are still planning on Salah being part of the squad next season, with the club fully expecting him to stay this summer.

Salah has reportedly given ‘no indication of wanting to exit’, while there was claimed to be ‘no suggestion of internal concern’ following his outburst at Klopp.

The 31-year-old is Liverpool’s top scorer this season with 24 goals in 41 matches, including 17 in the Premier League.

Salah has been a driving force behind their push for success in four competitions this season.

Liverpool lifted the Carabao Cup in Klopp’s final season, but their hopes in the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League were dashed by a dip in form in recent weeks.

Salah’s future will be one of the major decisions facing Arne Slot, with the Feyenoord boss expected to appointed as Liverpool’s new manager.

Slot has been targeted to succeed Klopp following a thorough search for a successor led by Michael Edwards, the CEO of Football at owners Fenway Sports Group.

He will join a new structure under Edwards and sporting director Richard Hughes.

Salah did not look best pleased to be taking up a spot on the Liverpool bench for the second time in the last three Premier league matches

Salah is among the stars set to enter the final year of their contract next season, along with captain Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Liverpool are still in with a shot of the Premier League title but it is a tall order.

The Reds are five points behind league leaders Arsenal with three games left, and Manchester City could move a point ahead of the Gunners tonight.
