Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Cole Holcomb suffered a gruesome leg injury late in the first quarter of his team’s Thursday Night Football victory over the Tennessee Titans.
Holcomb, 27, was carted off after clashing with teammate, safety Keanu Neal, while attempting to tackle Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. The 1st & 23 play resulted in a first down for Tennessee.

“This is one of those injuries we don’t need to show the replay,” announcer Al Michaels said on the Amazon Prime Video broadcast.
Steelers defeated Titans 20-16 at Acrisure Stadium to move to a 5-3 record in the 2023 NFL season.
Cole Holcomb’s injury similar to Nick Chubb’s
Holcomb’s leg bent backwards in an unnatural postion that reminded fans of when Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb went down with injury.
Chubb’s season is over and a similar fate is expected for Holcomb, who will undego further evaluation.
The franchise has yet to provide any further details regarding how much time Holcomb will miss. Steelers look to win a fourth game in five weeks next Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.
