Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry drained a breaking putt “from way downtown” on Friday at the 2023 American Century Celebrity Golf Championship Tournament in Lake Tahoe and then took a shot of whiskey with fans.
Curry, 35, hit the putt for birdie on the 12th hole and did his trademark no-look, walkaway celebration as the crowd erupted. He is tied for the lead after Friday’s opening round.

Following the round, Curry some of his Gentleman’s Cut whiskey for about a dozen fans, and one for himself. They cheered, and he did not even flinch, so the drink must be smooth.
Curry is undoubtedly one of tournament’s biggest draws and is living up to the hype, especially with his epic putt.
The putt was from several yards away and had an incredible break. Right before the ball reached the hole, Curry turned around and started celebrating, much like when he scores a 3-pointer in the NBA.

Other A-list celebrities competing in the tournament include NFL quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers, 39, made headlines for signing a pregnant woman’s belly and due to country singer Jake Owen impersonating him.
Another sports figure in the celebrity golf tournament is Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. The Mexican boxer was seen walking alongside Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce from hole to hole on Friday.
Curry is one of the favorites to win, but the full list of celebrities competing in the tournament includes several athletes who could give hm a run for his money.
