Eight European teams have already qualified for the Club World Cup to be held in the summer of 2025, with 32 teams and in a format that is different from the current competition. The new-look tournament resembles what we have understood as the international World Cup.
Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City are guaranteed to be present as the last Champions League winers, as is the case of this year’s edition. Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Inter, Porto and Benfica have also already secured their tickets for the World Cup, which will be held in the United States. The UEFA ranking of the last three years certifies this.

In addition to the winner of the next European Cup, three other teams will qualify through the points system decided by FIFA.
The first in this ranking is none other than Borussia Dortmund with 67 points and a place in the round of 16 of this year’s Champions League. The German team is followed by Atletico Madrid with 62 points, with RB Leipzig on their heels with one fewer.
Barcelona is next with 55 points, which, given the system for obtaining them, can be said to have practically only the presence in the World Cup within their reach by winning the current Champions League.
All four teams, the next one being Juventus who are out of Europe, are still alive in the competition and with the possibility of continuing to add. Real Sociedad are also eligible for the World Cup, with the rest still alive in the top continental competition, if they are able to win the Champions League.

Economic consequences
The distribution of points speaks, from now on, of scoring one point for each round that is overcome, two for a win and one for a draw in each match played, it is more than complicated to be able to present a candidacy for the World Cup. Apart from the economic blow, the amounts for participating are still unknown, the sporting loss of prestige could be another important setback for the azulgrana entity.
The other teams that have already qualified are: Al Ahly (Egypt), Wydad (Morocco), Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia), Urawa (Japan), Auckland (New Zealand), Monterrey (Mexico), Seattle (United States), Leon (Mexico) and Brazilians Palmeiras, Flamengo and Fluminense.
