Perhaps Tom Brady didn’t get why some Patriots and Buccaneers’ fans would get so angry towards him when their team lost. Now that he is watching everything from their perspective, he has gained a lot more sympathy for what they feel and how they process these defeats. Given his recent retirement, Tom Brady has been forced into accepting his new role as a spectator and no longer be involved in what happens during a game. With this new perspective, Tom Brady now gets these fans and aims to keep trying to understand them more. However, there is no reason for him to understand when some of these fans get physically violent. Brady talked about this during the ‘Let’s Go!’ podcast.

Who’s dumb enough? Tom Brady pokes fun at himself in “unretire” new commercialMarca English

He said: “There’s so much more context when you’re watching [and] you have this TV and they show every replay. On the field, you don’t see any of that. You’re seeing everything ground level. I think when you’re a fan, you see obviously a lot, you hear a lot. The commentators are saying a lot. You have the score right there, you have the timeouts listed, everything’s right there for you. It’s not necessarily like that when you’re a player. You’re just, you’re in the moment. I’m taking it all in. I’m trying to actually listen to a little bit from a broadcaster standpoint and how they’re calling the game, you know, paying attention more to, I’d say, the broadcasting element of it, the pageantry of it rather than, I would say, the nuances and the technicalities of the game.”

Tom Brady is taking his new chapter with no rush

As the November 2024 date keeps approaching, Tom Brady knows his life will get plunged back into football but from a different perspective about a year from now. Fox Sports landed a contract with him that is worth up to $375 million for him to become an analist at the network. Before that happens, Brady knows he needs to prioritize spending more time with his children because that work life will absorb plenty of time from him. Speaking on the microphone during these ‘Let’s Go!’ podcast episodes is largely the reason he won’t get into that other new job with no experience.
